Friday Night

                                                     The Buskers

Who are the Buskers?

Having met at the Horse and Groom pub in Castleside at the pub's Open Mic night (which inspired the duo's name), The Buskers formed in January 2009 in order to play a gig for a mutual friend. Tony Gilson and Barrie McDermid  are competent musicians and are focused on ensuring audiences have a great time, with many people being astounded at the size of the sound generated from two musicians.

Having clocked up several pub gigs over the years, the pair now perform mainly at weddings and private functions. Audience reactions suggest there hasn't been a single bad gig to date. Check them out an you'll see why.

Zen

Zen are a professional band based in the North East available for Clubs, Pubs, Weddings, Private Parties and more. With our array of equipment and multi keyboard set up we can recreate some of the best hits of the 1980's with a little bit of 70’s just as you remember them - 100% TOTALLY LIVE! Anyone who was here last year on the Saturday will know just how good Zen were in entertaining the crowd.

Our current set is guaranteed to keep your party entertained - with everything from classics such as Enola Gay through to Gold and Take on Me to A Little Respect.

We are a self-contained unit, providing our own EV – PA’s and state of the art lighting and equipment. We also use e-Kit live drums - this gives us the closest representation of the original songs as well as control over volume in smaller venues.

Artists covered include Wham, Duran Duran, Go West, Spandau Ballet, Tears for fears, Erasure, Depeche Mode, Soft Cell, Aha, Gary Numan, Madness, Rick Astley, Chic, James, Billy Idol, Robert Palmer, Cockney Rebel, Deacon Blue and loads more!
